Areas of Expertise
Family & Couples Therapy
My approach to Couples Therapy is research-based and seeks to improve your understanding of repeated patterns, the part you play, and how to find connection and intimacy amidst conflict. Feeling secure in your relationship is the goal.
I have completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and am an approved member of the Gottman Relationship Checkup Tools.
Family sessions will give you the opportunity to know and be known by your loved ones. Being in the same room allows all participants to observe and practice life and communication skills in a safe space.
I am a cis hetero female therapist willing & able to support those experiencing:
Marginalization due to sexual, romantic, or gender identity
Out of control sexual behavior (those experiencing & affected by)
Sexual health concerns, such as pelvic pain, erectile dysfunction, vaginismus, change in libido, anorgasmia, etc.
I am kink and poly affirming and enjoy working with both partnered and individual clients.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
I offer Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) individual session & skills groups. I am also a member of the DBT Eastside Consultation Team. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that explores the areas of your life that can be either accepted or changed. DBT teaches mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness skills. At DBT Eastside, we offer a Gold Standard of care, which combines, individual therapy, phone coaching, group skills training, and a consult team that oversees client treatment. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) in the State of Washington (MG61081737). I earned my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Seattle Pacific University in 2020 and have been working with clients since January 2019.
I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and have lived in Seattle since 2003. My previous career spanned 11 years in Healthcare Administration - long term care, hospice, and occupational medicine.
I recognize that I live and practice my profession on the indigenous land stolen from the Duwamish tribe, and that they continue to be refused federal recognition - leaving all members since the 1850's without repayment for their land to date. I am committed to being an ally by voting and tangible involvement in my neighborhood and city.
I value honesty, mindful communication, and enjoy having an easy manner in my practice! It is my hope that I will bring a sense of connection, generosity, ease, worth and clarity to my client’s lives.
